European scale analysis
We map the intensity of multi-stressor conditions across Europe to identify stressor hotspots and their effects on ecological status and ecosystem services, using several data sources (WISER metadatabase).
In particular, we address:
- Large rivers due to their importance for water resource management, using data e.g. of Joint Danube Survey 3
- Lakes, which provide essential ecosystem services (recreation, water supply)
- Fish in rivers, lakes and estuaries reflecting their importance for fisheries and recreational angling
